Volunteer opportunities require a 3-5 hours commitment per week (more if you can, of course). Because we are a small organization, all volunteers will be working on the creative and administrative components. Opportunities include:
Example of skill positions:

Curatorial Provides support to the Art Belongs to Everyone Curatorial Committee. Assist in promoting and staging visual art exhibitions. Call for artists, helping coordinate artist dialogue and other programs around it. Requires availability to attend two monthly evening meetings. Some weekend hours also required.

Youth Theatre Assists with all aspects of Youth run Theatre group. Requires acting, playwriting or other Theatre Experience, and the willingness and ability to work with teens in a positive, supportive manner. Must be available Wednesday Afternoon from 1-5pm and Saturday from 10am-3pm. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Development Volunteer: Assist in the research, preparation and writing of grant proposals, fundraising appeals and special event planning. Requires proficiency in basic computer systems such as Word, Excel and Internet skills, as well as the willingness to solicit donations for special events in person and over the phone.
Skills Share; We highly encourage sharing the skills we all bring to AfC. Please make sure to tell us if you are comfortable giving a workshop on a specific issue. In addition, we will schedule open workshops on a regular basis.
